North 3 UEP (Design)

Project History/Overview:


Design is currently 75% complete. Staff completed negotiations which incorporated road profile changes and bridge modifications, roundabouts at Tropicana Parkway and Kismet Parkway on Old Burnt Store Road, Master Pump Station changes in elevation due to Sea Level Impact Projections. Bidding is anticipated around Summer 2026 with Construction to begin by the end of 2026, with an approximate 2-year construction duration and anticipated completion by the end of 2028.

The City is reviewing 60% design plans for the North 3 Utilities Extension Project, with 90% plans expected in late 2025. Coral Oaks Golf Course will be incorporated into the project design. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with an approximate 2-year construction duration, and completion is currently anticipated at the end of 2028.

Design, permitting, and bidding services are being provided by McKim & Creed under a contract that began February 19, 2024. The project covers roughly 3 square miles in northwest Cape Coral, including about 1,900 improved and 3,200 unimproved parcels. The area is bounded by Burnt Store Road (east), the Bonefish Canal (south), the Spreader Waterway (west), and Kismet Parkway (north).
