Become a Brand Ambassador for Cape Coral!

The City of Cape Coral Citizen’s Academy is an engaging, interactive program designed to immerse residents in the inner workings of local government. Over eight weeks, participants gain exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to city departments—including the Police Department, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and more—while connecting directly with city leaders and staff.

Program Highlights:

  • In-depth tours of municipal facilities and direct interaction with department heads
  • Insight into the decision-making processes that shape Cape Coral
  • Opportunities to network with city officials and fellow residents
  • A comprehensive understanding of how one of Florida’s largest cities operates

Details:

  • Sessions are held annually, one day per week, with each class lasting up to eight hours (between 8am-4pm)
  • Enrollment is limited and open exclusively to Cape Coral residents
  • Graduates often become city ambassadors, sharing knowledge and community spirit

Please note: Registration for the 2026 Citizen's Academy is now FULL. Applications received after 1/8/26 will be placed on a waiting list. Applicants will be notified if space becomes available; otherwise, they will be placed at the top of the interest list for the 2027 Citizen's Academy session.
