Free Summer Meal Program for Youth  Launches June 8 at Six Cape Coral Parks

Cape Coral Parks & Recreation, in collaboration with the School District of Lee County and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), is proud to announce the return of the Summer BreakSpot free meal program—now expanded from four to six park locations across the city.

From June 8 through July 29, children and teens ages 18 and under can enjoy no-cost weekday lunches at the following Cape Coral parks (Please note: No meals will be served on June 19 and July 3):

Seven-day meal kits are available at one location, providing a week’s worth of breakfast and lunch to support families who cannot attend daily sites from June 8 through July 29, excluding June 19 and July 3:

To kick off the program, the Cape Coral Fun-Mobile will be on-site at Crystal Lake Park on Monday, June 8, from 8 to 11 a.m., offering free games and activities for families. The Fun-Mobile will rotate to different park locations throughout the summer to provide additional recreation and fun for participating youth. Click the images below to view the Fun-Mobile schedule:

Summer BreakSpot is part of a statewide initiative created to ensure children have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session. No registration or ID is required. For more information, visit SummerBreakSpot.org.
