Cape Coral Receives Excellence Award for WaterWays Science Festival

The City of Cape Coral has been selected as a winner of the Florida Stormwater Association Excellence Award for its WaterWays Science Festival.

This award honors the city's education efforts to encourage behavior that reduces stormwater pollution sources.

The WaterWays Science Festival is designed to increase understanding of local waterways and individual efforts that affect stormwater quality, flooding, and environmental health. The 2026 festival featured more than 70 interactive educational stations with city staff and participating agencies providing demonstrations and hands-on activities.
