The Office of Economic & Business Development (EBD) Team utilizes a proactive approach toward creating a business-friendly environment where businesses can prosper and be successful. We help developers and investors acquire, develop and redevelop undeveloped and underutilized properties throughout the city. Our team offers the following services to new and expanding businesses, as well as developers and investors:
- Business Retention and Expansion - Our office meets with existing Cape Coral businesses to understand their needs, help address challenges and connect them with resources that support continued operation and growth.
- Business Recruitment - We promote Cape Coral as a viable business location, build relationships with companies in targeted industries and assist businesses considering relocation or new investment in the city.
- Project and Development Navigation - We serve as a point of contact for businesses and developers, coordinate with City departments and help them understand and navigate applicable development and permitting processes.
- Market Information - We provide demographic, workforce, industry and market information to help businesses, investors and developers make informed decisions.
- Incentives, Resources and Partnerships - We explain available incentive programs, help businesses understand application requirements and connect them with workforce, education, financing and technical-assistance partners. Incentives are subject to eligibility, funding availability and approval.
