Cape Coral Invites Community to Open House on Chiquita Corridor Project

The City of Cape Coral invites residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to participate in an open house for the Chiquita Corridor Project.
This open house will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Cape Coral Public Works Operations Center, 815 Nicholas Pkwy E.
Attendees will have an opportunity to review the proposed layout for Chiquita Boulevard between Cape Coral Parkway and Veterans Parkway, ask questions, and share feedback with the project team.
The project is intended to improve safety and traffic flow along the corridor by reducing backups, increasing turn-lane capacity, and modifying intersections along Chiquita Boulevard and the connecting side streets between Cape Coral Parkway and Veterans Parkway. Median areas will also be adjusted to accommodate additional turn lanes.
The City encourages community members to attend, learn more about the proposed improvements, and share their ideas regarding the future of the Chiquita Corridor.
