Cape Coral Concepts Community Engagement Events Announced
August 17, 2026
The City of Cape Coral and Kimley-Horn invite residents to help shape Cape Coral Concepts, a planning and design effort for two locations along Kismet Parkway.
The first concept location is near Kismet Parkway and Burnt Store Road. The second is near Kismet Parkway and Del Prado Boulevard.
The public engagement process begins with a kickoff presentation on Monday, August 24, at 6 p.m. at the German American Social Club, 2101 SW Pine Island Rd. The presentation will introduce the projects, outline the planning process, and identify the community goals and priorities that will guide the concept development.
A concept reveal presentation will follow on Thursday, August 27, at 6 p.m. at Cape Coral City Hall's Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. During this event, the design team will share the concepts developed through the collaborative process and gather additional community feedback.
Between the kickoff and concept reveal, residents are invited to drop in and engage directly with the design team from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on August 25 and 26. During these open studio sessions, residents can observe the design process in real time, ask questions, and share ideas as the concepts take shape.
Residents will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the properties and their development potential
- Understand how the concepts consider surrounding neighborhoods and land uses
- Review a flexible framework for future site development
- See how access, circulation, and movement may function with each site
- Discuss the long-term community value of the locations
- Explore how the sites may adapt to future needs, disruptions, and changing conditions
All residents are encouraged to attend, share their perspectives, and connect with neighbors as Cape Coral plans these two future development opportunities. Help shape the future of this growing city through Cape Coral Concepts.
