Flyer for temporary closure of Four mile cover preserve from monday august 17 to wednesday september 30The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close portions of Four Mile Cove Preserve, 2500 SE 24th St., beginning Monday, August 17.

The closures include the boardwalk, piers, parking, restrooms, visitor center, and the Veterans Memorial. Park programs will also be postponed.

The kayak launch, docks, and picnic area located on Kayak Shack Road will remain open during the closure. All amenities are expected to reopen Wednesday, September 30.

This partial closure is necessary to complete boardwalk repairs. The boardwalk was damaged from past hurricane-related storm surge, and contractors will be performing some repair work to portions of the boardwalk. Signs will be posted on-site to notify park visitors during the closure.
