City of Cape Coral Seeks Public Input on Local Roadway Speeds
February 26, 2026
The City of Cape Coral is inviting residents to participate in a Citywide Local Roadway Speed Study by submitting speeding concerns through a new interactive online map. Community input will play an important role in guiding future traffic safety planning and decision-making across the city.
The Citywide Local Roadway Speed Study is designed to evaluate speed limits and traffic conditions on local roadways throughout Cape Coral. By gathering feedback directly from residents, the City aims to better understand where speeding concerns exist and identify potential solutions to enhance neighborhood safety.
Residents can submit comments by following these steps:
- Visit the interactive map at CapeCoral.gov/SpeedStudyInfo.
- Tap the blue “Add Comment” bar at the bottom of the page.
- Select “Speeding Concerns” and click “Select.”
- Zoom in and tap the road where you have a concern.
- When the speedometer icon appears, tap “Done.”
- Enter your comment (email is optional) and hit “Save.”
Those needing assistance can tap the “Help” icon on the main map page for step-by-step instructions.
Comments will be accepted through the end of April. The City encourages all residents to participate and share their input to help improve roadway safety throughout Cape Coral.
