City Youth Council Now Accepting Applications

The City of Cape Coral Youth Council is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year. Applications will be accepted from Monday, February 23, until Monday, March 23, 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to actively engage in local government, collaborate with peers, and address key issues affecting the youth of Cape Coral.
The Youth Council is looking to fill two vacancies for high school seniors and seven vacancies for high school juniors. Selected incoming high school seniors will serve a one-year term on the Youth Council, from May 2026 to April 2027. Selected incoming high school juniors will serve a two-year term on the Youth Council, from May 2026 to April 2028.
The senior vacancies available are for one Island Coast High School student and one at‑Large student (homeschool, private, charter, or virtual school).
