City Manager and Staff Kick Off Earth Day Clean Up

This annual, citywide event is an opportunity for residents to help create a cleaner, healthier community by volunteering to remove discarded trash and debris throughout our city.

City staff will kick off the event Wednesday morning on the northwest corner of Pine Island Road and Chiquita Boulevard. City Manager Michael Ilczyszyn will be available for media interviews on the topic at 8 a.m.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to set up.

To participate:

  • Visit CapeCoral.gov/CapeCleanup to register.
  • Gather your family, friends, and neighbors during any part of the day, and work at your own pace to clean up the areas near you that need it most.
  • Once you've finished cleaning up, gather your bagged trash in one location and log it at CapeCoral.gov/EarthDayPickUp.
  • Take photos of you, your group, and your collected trash. Then share them on social media, and tag us!:

  • After completing volunteer hours for this event, please email Communications@CapeCoral.gov with the total number of hours worked to arrange a time for your volunteer hour sheet to be signed and validated.
