Cape Coral Youth Council Accepting Excellence Award Applications

The Cape Coral Youth Council announces its third annual Excellence Awards Program, recognizing high school students in Cape Coral who excel in five categories: Leadership, Arts, Civic Engagement, Excellence in Academics, and Athletics.
The Youth Council Awards program honors young individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to making a positive impact in our community. Whether through leadership, volunteerism, or inspiring others, these awards celebrate the hard work and passion of Cape Coral’s youth.
Excellence Award Applications will be accepted beginning Tuesday, Feb. 3, and are due by 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The award application includes full submission details.
To be eligible, students must:
- Be residents of Cape Coral, but can attend any high school
- Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0
- Be in good behavioral and academic standing with their school.
The Cape Coral Youth Council will vote to select one student as the winner for each category. An awards ceremony honoring the winners will be held Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. in Cape Coral City Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd.
