Cape Coral Wins Region's Best Tasting Drinking Water Award

The City of Cape Coral’s Utilities Department has been honored with the 2025 Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) Region V Best Tasting Drinking Water Award. The competition was held on October 29 at Bonita Springs Utilities, where Cape Coral’s water impressed judges with its exceptional quality and taste.
This regional victory qualifies Cape Coral to advance to the statewide FSAWWA Best Tasting Drinking Water competition. The winner of that contest will go on to represent Florida at the national level.
“We’re proud of our team’s commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and great-tasting drinking water to our community,” said Utilities Director Jeff Pearson. “This award reflects the dedication of our staff and the excellence of Cape Coral’s water system.”
