Permitting Counter Closing Temporarily for Workspace Improvements

The City of Cape Coral Development Services permitting counter will temporarily close Wednesday, Jan. 28, and Thursday, Jan. 29, for workspace improvements and redesign. If additional time is needed, the closure may extend into Friday, Jan. 30.

This is a planned closure, and all affected customers with appointments during this period have been notified. No in-person permits will be processed while the counter is closed.

Customers are encouraged to use the City’s EnerGov Customer Self-Service Portal to submit, review, and process permit applications online at CapeCoral.gov.

For owner-builder permit applications, identity verification must be completed in person once the counter reopens. Staff will assist with application preparation and document verification at that time.

City staff will continue reviewing permits and completing related tasks while the counter is closed. Walk-in services will resume as soon as the improvements are complete and the counter reopens.
