Manatees Rescued at Coral Oaks Golf Course
Two manatees, a mother and calf, were found stranded in a canal connected to the Coral Oaks Golf Course. With the help of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the Lee County Sheriff's Office, both manatees were safely rescued today.
FWC performed health assessments on the the mother and 1-month-old-calf, deemed them both to be in good health, and safely released them back into the wild.
