Jim Jeffers Playground to Temporarily Close for Improvements

June 15, 2023

The city of Cape Coral will be installing a new playground shade structure at Jim Jeffers Park, 2817 Southwest 3rd Lane, beginning Monday, June 19. The playground will be closed during this time, and is expected to reopen by Saturday, July 15, barring any unforeseen circumstances. All other park amenities will remain open.

In 2018, Cape Coral voters approved a $60 million expansion of the city's parks and recreation amenities. The approved 15-year general obligation bond funds major parks and recreation improvements throughout the city, including the creation of new parks and improvements to existing parks.
