City to Host Public Workshop for Multimodal Transportation Master Plan

The City of Cape Coral Public Works Transportation Division, will hold the first public workshop for the Multimodal Transportation Master Plan on Wednesday, June 21, at 4 p.m.

The workshop will be at City Hall in Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard. It will allow residents to provide feedback that will identify opportunities for improving and strengthening the city’s transportation network for all modes of transportation.

The Multimodal Transportation Master Plan will update the long-term vision for the city’s multimodal transportation system and provide policy direction. The plan will guide future and existing transportation projects throughout the city, like the five-year Capital Improvement Plan, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, and other mid- and long-term transportation projects.

A second public workshop is scheduled for January 2024 to bring preliminary findings and recommendations back to residents for discussion. The city anticipates adopting the final plan in March 2024.
