Hurricane Debris Collection Paused for Thanksgiving Holiday

The City of Cape Coral's debris removal contractor will be pausing operations to allow these hard-working men and women time to travel home and spend the Thanksgiving holiday with loved ones. Debris collection will pause on Wednesday, November 23, and it will resume on Monday, November 28.

The haulers have been working from sunrise to sunset to remove debris since October 5, and many have been away from their families in states as far as Michigan and Wisconsin. We are grateful for their assistance and commitment to helping our City recover from Hurricane Ian.

The City's public drop-off sites will remain open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving Day.

Vegetative Debris Drop-off: 2930 NW 13th Street
No construction and demolition debris will be accepted.

Construction and Demolition Debris Drop-off: 1821 SW 42nd Street
No hazardous waste or vegetation will be accepted. 

Proof of Cape Coral residency is required to use the public drop-off sites. Items brought in a bag must be emptied at the site, and the bag must be taken with the resident when they leave.

REMINDER: Hurricane debris should NOT be placed in plastic bags. The debris hauler WILL NOT collect it. Vegetation may be stacked or placed in a paper lawn bag ONLY.
