Caloosahatchee Connect Ribbon Cutting Set for Jan. 11

December 29, 2023

The City of Cape Coral invites the public to the Caloosahatchee Connect Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Horton Park, 2600 SE 26th Place, Thursday, January 11, at 9 a.m.

The Caloosahatchee Connect Project is a large reclaimed water pipeline allowing the City of Cape Coral to transfer up to 12 million gallons of water daily from the City of Fort Myers. The water, which would otherwise be discharged into the Caloosahatchee River, will provide residents with an additional irrigation water source to reduce withdrawals from freshwater canals and help maintain water levels during the dry season.
