Arrest Made for Grand Theft of Electric Bike, Drug Paraphernalia, and Additional Charges

(March 4, 2024) -- On March 2, 2024, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Officers working for the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a theft in progress at a local business near the 1400 block of SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral, Florida.

While en route, the reporting party said that a male cut the chain on his electric bike, then stole the bike and took off northbound.

Officers arrived and quickly located the suspect on a bike in the area. An officer turned on his emergency activation lights. The suspect looked back at the officer but refused to stop, continuing to ride forward. After additional commands, the suspect eventually stopped.

The suspect identified himself as Noah Christopher Hoth (DOB 07/21/2000). The investigation revealed that Hoth allegedly cut the lock and took the bike, knowing it was not his.
