Results of Speed and Aggressive Driving, Operation Drive Fine, Avoid a Fine

(January 16, 2024)- The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a traffic saturation (Operation Stay Safe for the Holidays Part 2) on December 29th, 2023 specifically targeting speed and aggressive driving. This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in sixty-three citations

A traffic stop was conducted for a move over act violation. Contact was made with the driver who was never issued a Driver’s License. Driver was taken to LCJ.

Cape Coral currently ranks 11th out of 37 agencies in Speeding or Aggressive Driving for traffic fatalities and serious injuries on the Highway Safety Matrix – Ranking of Florida. To improve traffic safety in the city, the Department has partnered with FDOT’s Traffic Safety Office to bring additional enforcement and education through the implementation of saturation patrols.
