(December 26, 2023)--On December 24, 2023 at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers working for the Cape Coral Police Department responded to the King of Vape located at 1407 Del Prado Blvd S in Cape Coral, Florida for reports of a burglary in progress.
The alarm was set off at the location, and surveillance footage showed a subject running through the business. Officers arrived and found a male, later identified as Terrance Gene Schoep (W/M, DOB 6/20/2000) lying on the ground in front of the door to the King of Vape with the glass from the door smashed.
The investigation revealed that Terrance Schoep broke the glass door to enter the store, entered inside, and stole over $1500 worth of merchandise inside, some of which were Christmas related.
Officers looked around the building and noticed Terrance Schoep’s vehicle. The merchandise stolen from the store was observed in plain view inside the vehicle.
Terrance Schoep was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
1 Count Burglary for violation of FSS 810.02(2)(C)(2)
1 Count Grand Theft for violation of FSS 812.014(2)(c)(1)
1 Count Criminal Mischief for violation of FSS 806.(1)(B)(3)
