(August 21, 2023)- On Sunday, August 20th, 2023 at 1850 hours, Cape Coral Police Department officers responded to 1012 SE 5th Ter, Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida, in reference to a burglary in progress.

The reporting party called police to report he saw multiple subjects walking around his property, attempting to break into his residence and then reported that they entered his residence. The reporting party stated that no one should be in the home.

Officers arrived on scene and quickly located multiple subjects in the house.  The following people were identified:

Shuree Ann Mariscal (W/F 014/18/1984)

Abraham Isaac Rivera (B/M 07/15/1995)

Alexis Eve Clark (W/F 11/06/1995)

Astrid Gabriela Cruz Blandin (W/F 11/07/1995)

Zalexyia Sturgeon (W/F 06/12/2004)

Ms. Mariscal stated she was at the house to check on it for a friend and had a key. The reporting party stated he did not give anyone a key and did not know any of the individuals that entered his residence. The reporting party had surveillance footage which shows the identified individuals walking around the property, checking doors and windows. Footage then shows Ms. Mariscal tampering with a lock box containing the key. Ms. Mariscal unlocks the front door and illegally enters the home with Mr. Rivera, Ms. Clark, Ms. Blandin, and Ms. Sturgeon. Subjects were carrying a bag of ice and alcohol with them. All subjects involved had stories that did not match, and no subjects involved had permission to be inside the residence.

Officers found a purse belonging to Ms. Sturgeon. Inside the purse was a broken and burnt glass pipe and a bag containing a white powdery substance. The pipe tested positive for cocaine.

Officers found another purse belonging to Ms. Mariscal. Inside the purse was a glass pipe and a bag containing methamphetamine. Also located was a bag with cocaine, small clear baggies, and a scale, indicating intended sales/distribution.

The investigation revealed that Ms. Mariscal, Mr. Rivera, Ms. Clark, Ms. Blandin, and Ms. Sturgeon walked around the home, looked inside windows, and looked for open points of entry. Ms. Mariscal gained access to the lock box on the front door and was able to retrieve the key and unlock the door. All subjects entered the home with belongings. No one that entered the home had permission to be there. Both Ms. Mariscal and Ms. Sturgeon were found with drugs and drug paraphernalia.

All subjects were arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

§893.13(6)(a), Possession of a Controlled Substance without a prescription (methamphetamine)

§893.13(1)(a)(1), Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute

§893.147(1), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 3 Counts (pipe, digital scale, baggies)

Zalexyia Sturgeon (W/F 06/12/2004) was charged with:

§810.02(3)(b), Burglary (unoccupied/unarmed)

§893.13(6)(a), Possession of a Controlled Substance without a prescription (cocaine)

§893.147(1), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (pipe)

Abraham Isaac Rivera (B/M 07/15/1995) was charged with the following:

§810.02(3)(b), Burglary (unoccupied/unarmed)

Alexis Eve Clark (W/F 11/06/1995) was charged with the following:

§810.02(3)(b), Burglary (unoccupied/unarmed)

Astrid Gabriela Cruz Blandin (W/F 11/07/1995) was charged with the following:
