Local Handyman Arrested For Felony Charges

(April 27, 2023)- On April 26, 2023, Cape Coral Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit arrested Robert Allen Doerr Jr. (W/M 8-16-1988, 3527 NW 19th Terrace). Mr. Doerr was a local handyman in Cape Coral and owned DBA Precision Painting Pros, Corporation.

The investigation revealed that numerous victims reported Mr. Doerr did not complete the work he was paid to perform at their homes. Mr. Doerr also never returned thousands of dollars paid to him after the work was never completed. Victims reported they located Mr. Doerr off Facebook, where he agreed to perform repairs at their damaged homes from Hurricane Ian.

Mr. Doerr was subsequently transported to Lee County Jail.

Mr. Doerr was charged with the following:

*Scheme to Defraud Aggregate value over $20,000 2nd Degree Felony, F.S.S. 817.034(4)(a)2.

*Grand Theft Aggregate Value over $20,000, F.S.S. 812.014(2)(b)1.

*Exploitation of an Elderly Person, F.S.S. 825.103(3)(c).

*Unlawful Filing of Documents, Records, F.S.S. 817.535(2)(a).
