Results of Impaired Driving Enforcement (Operation Arrive Alive, Don’t Drink & Drive)

(April 10, 2023) - The Cape Coral Police Department conducted an impaired driving enforcement (Operation Arrive Alive, Don’t Drink & Drive) on April 7, 2023, targeting impaired driving. This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in sixty-nine citations. No driver was stopped without a seatbelt.

We remind and thank the motoring public for always wearing their seatbelts.

The operation was paid for with FDOT sub-grant funding.  Cape Coral currently ranks 7th out of 37 agencies in Impaired Driving for traffic fatalities and serious injuries on the Highway Safety Matrix – Ranking of Florida. To improve traffic safety in the City, the Department has partnered with FDOT’s Traffic Safety Office to bring additional enforcement and education through the implementation of saturation patrols.
