Sidewalk Installation Program
This program installs sidewalks throughout the City to improve pedestrian safety, enhance access to schools, and connect neighborhoods to commercial areas. The City maintains an eight-person crew that performs all aspects of construction, including site preparation, formwork, driveway replacements, concrete placement, and sod installation, while ensuring all work meets ADA requirements.
In addition, a three-person repair crew performs targeted repairs to existing sidewalks and concrete curbing throughout the City. Sidewalk construction projects are typically prioritized along multi-lane roadways; however, sidewalks are also installed in select two-lane neighborhoods, particularly in areas surrounding schools.
