Waste Pro Bulk Pickup Resuming Monday, December 5

Waste Pro will resume Citywide bulk waste pickup and full horticulture services on Monday, December 5. Pickup for bulk waste and horticulture will fall on your regular trash day and should be kept separate from hurricane debris.

Bulk Waste is any debris that weighs more than 50 pounds or is of such bulk that it cannot fit into the cart, can, or refuse bag, excluding white goods.

  • Bulk items should not be stacked.
  • Cardboard should be broken down and placed in recycle bin.
  • All items need to be placed within 3 feet of the road.
  • Any item that can fit in a trash bin should be placed in the bin.

Vegetation less than 50 pounds should be prepared in one of the following ways:

  1. bundled and tied and neatly placed in compact piles
  2. placed in biodegradable paper lawn and leaf bags or a receptacle
  3. placed safely within three feet of the curbside or edge of the street
  • Horticulture too large for receptacles, such as tree branches, palm fronds, etc., must be cut in lengths no larger than six feet and not more than four inches in diameter. (Length limitation does not apply to palm fronds.)
  • Loose palm fronds must be organized and stacked so that all the fronds face the same direction. 

The Bulk Waste Drop-Off Site, will reopen on Tuesday, December 6, and operates Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Bulk Waste Drop-Off site address is 1200 Kismet Parkway; however, the entrance is off NW 14th Avenue, at the western portion of the North RO complex. No appliances or hurricane debris will be accepted.

Hurricane debris must be placed in the right-of-way for the debris hauler to collect or taken to the two public drop-off sites.

  • Hurricane Debris in the right-of-way must be sorted into separate piles: vegetation, construction and demolition, and appliances and electronics
  • These piles can be touching but cannot overlap or be mixed.
  • Vegetative Debris Drop-off - 2930 NW 13th Street: No construction and demolition debris will be accepted.
Construction and Demolition Debris Drop-off - 1821 SW 42nd Street: No hazardous waste or vegetation will be accepted.
