Cape Coral Receives Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The City of Cape Coral’s Finance Department was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

The Certificate of Achievement was awarded to the City’s Finance Division for their Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending on Sept. 30, 2020. This certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.

This distinguished award represents a significant accomplishment by the City of Cape Coral and its management.

The City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the program’s high standards, demonstrating a "spirit of full disclosure" to communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and groups to read the report.
