City Transitions to EnerGov Citizen Self-Service Portal

2/7/2022
The City of Cape Coral Development Services Department will be converting to a new permitting software system named EnerGov on Monday, February 21, 2022.

As part of the transition to the new software, the ability to apply for building permits through all electronic or paper formats (CRW TRAKiT and eTRAKiT) will be temporarily unavailable from Wednesday, February 16, 2022, through Monday, February 21, 2022.  In an effort to ensure residents have the best experience and to reduce processing delays, we are advising that applications for permits will not be accepted during this time (2/16 through 2/21).

New applications will need to be submitted beginning on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, using the new EnerGov Citizen Self-Service portal (CSS).

Future events where information on EnerGov will be presented to help the public navigate the new system:

  • February 10, 2022, City staff will present at the CCCIA Dinner/General Membership Meeting
  • February 11 at 9 AM, City staff will present information to the public in Council Chambers – for those who cannot attend in person, this meeting will be broadcast and streamed on CCTV, YouTube and on Facebook Live

Dates to remember:

  • Feb. 16 through Feb. 21:  eTRAKit will be unavailable and the City will not accept permits during this time
  • Feb. 22:  anticipated Go Live date for EnerGov Citizen Self-Service portal

We understand that having any interruption in service can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we work to enhance your experience as a user of our system.  We are committed to making this change as smooth as possible.
