Florida Supreme Court Upholds City's Fire Service Assessment

The Florida Supreme Court has upheld the City's methodology for its Fire Services Assessment.  The decision was released Thursday, May 7.  The unanimous decision means the City can release the monies collected for the past two years ($23.6 million) and begin directing funds toward much-needed capital projects.  This includes multiple paving projects, fire apparatus, police vehicles, additional fleet and repairs/improvements at many City facilities.
