Residents Can Now Dispose of Old American Flags Using City Hall Flag Drop Box

A flag retirement box was recently installed outside of City Hall, which is located 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard. Residents can drop their old American flags in the box for proper retirement without having to leave their vehicles. Flags also can be taken to any fire station in the City.

According to the United States flag code, flags should be burned when they are no longer fit to be flown. The newly opened Brotherhood of Heroes Resource Center and Military Museum (4522 Del Prado Boulevard) and the American Legion will collect the flags to be burned.
