City of Cape Coral partners with Lee Health to open a COVID-19 collection site in Cape Coral on Tuesday, June 30

In order to meet the demand for COVID-19 testing in Cape Coral, the City of Cape Coral in partnership with Lee Health is opening a mobile COVID-19 specimen collection site that will be located at the Chester Street Resource Center (4816 Chester Street).

“The City is working to ensure access to testing for our community,” said Mayor Joe Coviello. “Testing is critical, and we want to make it more convenient for our residents. This will be a worthwhile partnership with Lee Health.  Our brave first responders including police and firefighters will be assisting to expand COVID-19 testing efforts.”

“This is not the typical role of the Fire Department, but our firefighters are stepping up to serve the needs of our community, and I am grateful and proud of them for this,” said Fire Chief Ryan Lamb. “The purpose of the Fire Department is to save lives and COVID-19 testing in our community will save lives.”
