Description: The Cape Coral Parkway East six-laning project is a roughly $2.3 million construction effort to add capacity and smooth traffic flow on Cape Coral Parkway. This will be achieved mainly by resurfacing and restriping to six lanes between Triton Court East and just west of Cape Coral Street/SE 15th Avenue. The project will expand Cape Coral Parkway East to six continuous lanes between Coronado Parkway and Del Prado Boulevard, improving traffic flow, resurfacing the roadway, and upgrading signals.
While there has been some discussion about potential parking losses, the CRA district is adding spaces through several strategic initiatives. With the completion of The Cove at 47th and Bimini Square parking garages, and new lots underway along Vincennes Street and Boulevard, South Cape will have more than 300 new parking spaces this year. These improvements support continued growth, better access, and a stronger South Cape for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.
