Household Hazardous Waste Disposal for Cape Coral Residents

Cape Coral residents should not place household hazardous waste, paints, liquids, or electronic waste in regular garbage or bulk waste containers. These materials require special handling to protect public health, safety, and the environment.

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • First Saturday of each month: 8:00 a.m. to noon

Accepted items

Typical household hazardous waste items include:

  • Drain cleaners.
  • Pool chemicals.
  • Pesticides and herbicides.

Additional disposal options

The City of Cape Coral also hosts periodic household chemical waste collection events for residents. These events provide another convenient way to dispose of accepted hazardous materials safely and typically are scheduled for the first Saturday in May and the first Saturday in November each year.
