Real Estate

The Real Estate section of the Public Works Department is responsible for establishing and maintaining the City’s land inventory with specialized knowledge of land acquisition for the public domain. This work is performed within the scope of established State and City ordinances, policies, and procedures involving frequent contact with property owners, appraisers, and expert consultants.  

Real Estate is responsible for all
City land acquisitions, leases, disposition of surplus real property, easements, and right-of-ways for City roads, parks, utility improvements, and other capital projects. Real Estate also assists the citizens of Cape Coral with questions regarding their property.
