The Cape Coral Special Events Division plans and facilitates a variety of Citywide Special Events throughout the year. The team is dedicated to excellence by making Cape Coral’s events diverse, family-oriented, and attractive to consumers and corporate sponsors.

The division offers a variety of popular Citywide Events throughout the year, including (click on names below to see event websites):


In addition to hosting Citywide events, the Special Events Division oversees the Special Event Permit Process required by all outside groups who wish to utilize City land to conduct events with more than 500 people. Groups who would like to request that their event information be posted on the City's Community Calendar should complete the form found on the Community Events page.

Movie in the Park

Movie: Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Location: Jaycee Park, 4215 20th Place, Cape Coral, FL 33904
The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation department is proud to bring you a FREE "Movie in the Park" on our giant inflatable screen. The movie starts at approximately 8:00 pm, but get there early to enjoy dinner from our onsite food truck, grab a good spot & have a chance at our giveaways! Don’t forget to bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy the movie!

The City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department will host a free Concert in the Park on Thursday, May 26 at Four Freedoms Park. The band preforming is Mike Imbasciani & his BluezRockerz.  Admission and parking are both free! Attendees are invited to bring their chairs, blankets, or other seating to enjoy the music! Seating will open at 5:00 pm with music starting at 5:30 pm. Get there early to enjoy delicious food from our onsite vendors, Cajun Gringos, and Bubble Buzz! Red, White and BOOM!

Here comes the BOOM! The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present “Red, White & Boom” on Monday, July 4 from 5-10 p.m. at the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge on Cape Coral Parkway.  This event, which is free to attend, has won the reputation as the best place to honor America on the 4th of July in Southwest Florida. By land or by sea, the experience is remarkable as over 40,000 people come together in the spirit of our country’s Independence Day.

BOOM Zone Tickets are on sale through Capeboom.com.  The BOOM Zone includes food, drinks, and a prime viewing location on the grass. For more information on tickets, visit www.CapeBoom.com/tickets or call 239-573-3128.

This year’s “Red, White & Boom” has national entertainment on the City stage, as well as over 50 vendors offering food, drinks, novelty items, jewelry, arts and crafts, and drawings for free giveaways throughout the night.

Volunteers at Sounds of JazzWhether you are looking to earn required volunteer hours, meet new people, or simply get more involved in the community, volunteering for a Citywide Special Event is a great option! EVENT SPONSORSHIPS
The Special Events Division offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities that allow businesses to promote their name/products/services in conjunction with City organized events. The goal is to create a “win-win” combination for the sponsor and the event, which is accomplished by providing a creative venue for companies to reach their target audience while making additional funds or services available to enhance the event experience.
