The Cape Coral Special Events Division plans and facilitates a variety of Citywide Special Events throughout the year. The team is dedicated to excellence by making Cape Coral’s events diverse, family-oriented, and attractive to consumers and corporate sponsors.

The division offers a variety of popular Citywide Events throughout the year, including (click on names below to see event websites):


In addition to hosting Citywide events, the Special Events Division oversees the Special Event Permit Process required by all outside groups who wish to utilize City land to conduct events with more than 500 people. Groups who would like to request that their event information be posted on the City's Community Calendar should complete the form found on the Community Events page.

Free "Cape Concert in the Park" 
Saturday, April 30, 2022 - Postponed until Saturday, October 1, 4:00-7:00 pm

The City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department will host a free Concert in the Park on Saturday, April 30, at Four Freedoms Park. The band performing is The Lineup! Admission and parking are both free! Attendees are invited to bring their chairs, blankets, or other seating to enjoy the music! Seating will open at 5:00 pm with music starting at 5:30 pm. Get there early to enjoy delicious food from our onsite vendors, Nickle City Red Hots and Rita’s Italian Ice! Please visit www.capeconcerts.com for more information.

Cape Bike Night

Free “Movie in the Park”

The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation department is proud to bring you a FREE "Movie in the Park" on our giant inflatable screen. The movie starts at approximately 7:00 pm, but get there early to enjoy dinner from our onsite food truck, grab a good spot & have a chance at our giveaways! Don’t forget to bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy the movie!

Veterans Day Parade

Join us as the community honors our American Heroes and pays tribute to those who lost their lives, those who served honorably, and those who are still proudly serving our country. The Veteran's Day Celebration is a cooperative effort of the City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation and local community volunteers. This year's parade will be on Cape Coral Parkway, beginning at 11:00 am. The parade route is westbound from Cape Coral Street to Chester Street. Cape Music & Art Fusion

The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to bring local artists and musicians together! Come out for an evening of live music, vendors, and support local businesses. This event will feature pop-up shops by local artists that showcase everything from handmade jewelry to paintings from 5 to 9 pm. This is a family-friendly event! Reindeer Run 5K & Family Fun Run

Join us on Saturday, December 10 at Coral Oaks Golf Course as we dash into the holiday season! This event is a family-friendly Reindeer Run so come dressed in your holiday spirit! You can either choose from a 5K Run or 1.5-mile family fun run. The run will be on the cart path through the golf course, so it is a stroller/family-friendly race. Walking entrants are welcome.

Holiday Boat-A-Long

The 46th Annual Holiday Boat-A-Long features stage entertainment and performances, local food trucks, Christmas music, drinks, crafts for the kids, a Santa Claus visit, and the boat parade. For those interested in having their boat in the parade, please register with Sea Tow by calling (239) 945-4820. Following the boat parade will be a FREE Movie in the Park. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers at Sounds of JazzWhether you are looking to earn required volunteer hours, meet new people, or simply get more involved in the community, volunteering for a Citywide Special Event is a great option! EVENT SPONSORSHIPS
The Special Events Division offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities that allow businesses to promote their name/products/services in conjunction with City organized events. The goal is to create a “win-win” combination for the sponsor and the event, which is accomplished by providing a creative venue for companies to reach their target audience while making additional funds or services available to enhance the event experience.
