COVID-19 Parks & Recreation Updates:

  • On September 25, 2020, Governor DeSantis transitioned the State into Phase 3 of the Re-Opening Florida Plan. This action relaxes many of the restrictions on public gatherings, local government meetings, travel, recreation and business activities;
  • As a result, all Cape Coral Parks & Recreation facilities are now open and back online with activities and programs resuming;*
  • City-sponsored events will be limited through the end of the calendar year and private events will be evaluated on a case by case basis;
  • The City's transition to Phase 3 will be consistent with the Governor’s action but continues many of the precautionary measures the City implemented in previous phases (ie. plexiglass partitions in place and encouraging social distancing and face masks). The City's re-opening actions are effective Monday, October 5, 2020.
