Boards and Committees - Vacancies

Vacancies occur on boards and committees on a regular basis due to term limits, resignations, or other circumstances.  Current vacancies and timelines/requirements for submitting applications are listed below.

NOTE:  All applicants for any City Board, Commission or Committee must be a Citizen of the United States and a resident of the City of Cape Coral. 


Boards that require a Form 1

Board Application and Exempt Form

Please complete the 2-page application and Exempt Form-if applicable.  Submit the originals to the City Clerk's Office.

Current Boards/Committees/Commissions Vacancies:

Construction Regulation Board - 1 Vacancy*
Applicants must be Citizen of the United States and Resident or have their principal place of business within City of Cape Coral, Florida.
*Whenever possible, applicants will be selected from the following categories:
- One Licensed Pool Contractor, B License or higher (Category 6)
Please identify the category in which you qualify on your application.
The deadline to receive applications is no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022.


Boards that do not require a Form 1

Please complete the 2-page application and Exempt Form-if applicable.  Submit the originals to the City Clerk's Office.

Current Boards/Committees/Commissions Vacancies:

Cape Competes Advisory Board – 1 Vacancy
Resident of the City of Cape Coral, or An Owner, or A General Manager of a business whose principal place of business is located within the City and who possesses a local business tax receipt issued by the City.    
Whenever possible, applicants will be selected from the following category:

 - One Engineering services (Category 4)
The deadline to receive applications is no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022.


Youth Council - 1 Junior Vacancy*
The City of Cape Coral City Clerk’s Office is accepting applications to fill one Junior vacancy on the Cape Coral Youth Council.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral
- Applications are being accepted from current Juniors in the 2022-2023 school year from the following schools (*whenever possible):
     - Ida S. Baker High School

     - Island Coast High School
     - At-Large from home schooling or other source/Private/Charter/Virtual Schools
*Whenever possible, applicants will be selected from one of the above listed categories.

Please deliver your original completed application to the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd., Cape Coral, FL for our records.
The deadline to receive applications is no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022.
