Three Grams of Fentanyl Recovered From Traffic Stop
(February 14, 2023) On February 13, 2023, at approximately 12:12 a.m. an officer from the Cape Coral Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction at the 4700-Block of Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida.
Contact was made with Robert Dedaj (W/M 5-12-1989, 1236 Woodrose Court #3, Fort Myers), who was the driver of this vehicle. The pungent smell of burnt cannabis engulfed the air around the officer as Mr. Dedaj presented his driver's license. A half-smoked "joint" was visible in the vehicle's center console.
Cape Coral Police Communications revealed that Mr. Dedaj had an active warrant out of Sarasota County for the sale of cocaine and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Search inventory to arrest, numerous items were located inside Mr. Dedaj's vehicle and on Mr. Dedaj.
Mr. Dedaj was subsequently transported to Lee County Jail.
Mr. Dedaj was charged with the following:
*Warrant F.S.S. 901.15(4).
*Possession of a Controlled Substance F.S.S. 893.13(6)(a) [3.0 Grams of Fentanyl].
*Possession of a Controlled Substance F.S.S. 893.13(6)(a) [Amphetamine Pills].
*Possession of a Controlled Substance F.S.S. 893.13(6)(a) [Suboxone Pills].
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, F.S.S. 893.147(1). [Spoons, Scales, and Baggies with Fentanyl Residue, 3 Counts].
