Results of Distracted Driving Enforcement

(December 28, 2022)- The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a grant-funded traffic saturation on December 27, 2022, specifically targeting distracted driving. Funding was provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and its Distracted Driving grant. This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in twenty-eight citations, One driver was cited for texting while driving.
