Results of September 9th, 2022 DUI Enforcement Operation

(September 12, 2022) - The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a grant-funded DUI enforcement operation on September 9th, 2022, targeting impaired driving. Funding was provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This operation was conducted citywide and resulted in thirty one citations (four for violating a traffic control or signal device). No drivers stopped were found without a seatbelt, and we thank the motoring public for always wearing their seatbelts.

Traffic stop for driving on the median led to a DUI investigation. Sanchez was found to be impaired. Breath refused
